The Judith Block is located on a southeast-facing slope at 4900 ft. Less than a half acre each of Nebbiolo, Aglianico, and Tempranillo with a dash of Malvasia in between. Mostly rocky decomposed granite and caleche soil with a layer of chalk just beneath the topsoil. Perfect Spanish / Italian hillside setting. This block even more so than others due to it’s extreme slope, is hand farmed. Spacing is roughly 5′ by 5′ and generally cropped at about 2 to 2.5 tons per acre. These blocks compose the Nagual del Judith. Some years are single varietal, others are a field blend of all. Apologies, but no, we do not give tours of this or any block.
