We got hammered with hail on the Merkin West Judiths block. The Cab wasn’t quite ready to pick, but we had to go ahead and pull it the next morning. Any berries in a cluster with damage will put the rest of the berries at risk. Bunch rot can move quickly through a cluster. The fruit ended up soaking out with decent numbers, but it still could have used another few days, maybe even a week. But such is the life of a farmer.
