We plan on flood irrigating Merkin South. In order for this to work properly, we’ve laser leveled the field so it gradually drops 6 inches from the upper edge all the way down to the river. I’m was a bit of a skeptic at first, but having seen it with my own eyes, i’d have to say i’m very impressed.
