Occasionally the ditch association shuts down the irrigation ditch for maintenance. In a worst case scenario this could leave us without water for longer period of time than I’m comfortable with. So we decided to set up a reserve water supply in the form of a pond. My own private fishing hole stocked with Bluegill. And crayfish. And geese and ducks. And my very own Loch Ness Monster.
