Greetings Winos.
There seems to be a bit of confusion with regards to Internet Sales aka Direct to Consumer Sales, National Distribution and International Distribution. We’re go to attempt to draw up a guide here to help you track down our Caduceus Cellars & Merkin Vineyards wines.
Direct Internet Sales:
This means selling directly to you, the consumer. You buy from us, we ship to you, provided you are in a state that allows us to do so. Of course you must be 21 or over. Duh.
Currently winos living in the following states can sign up for the Velvet Sippers Club and/or purchase wines off of this website.
READ THE LIST TO SEE IF WE SHIP DIRECTLY TO YOU.
HEY, INDIANA, VERMONT, MARYLAND, VIRGINA and NEW JERSEY! YOU’RE ON THE LIST!
STATES WE CAN NOW LEGALLY SHIP TO:
STATES WE SHIP TO: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, NEW!!!–>Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, NEW!!!–> North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
IF WE DON’T SHIP TO YOUR STATE IT PROBABLY MEANS WE CAN NOT DO IT LEGALLY YET. BELIEVE US WHEN WE SAY WE WOULD LOVE TO SELL YOU WINE.
Of course we generally do not ship during the hottest times of the year since all packages must go through Phoenix on their way to you. Although we do offer Special 3 Bottle Limited Production Packages from mid-May to September that we ship with Ice packs, but shipping can be costly and prohibitive. We start taking pre-orders between August 1st and Sept 1st and usually are able to begin Normal shipping at the end of September/beginning of October, weather permitting. And if it’s a blizzard where you live, we hold your packages until it warms up a bit.
National Distribution:
This means we have established a relationship with a wine distributor/wholesaler in your state, and they in turn sell our wines to a local retailer. We of course prefer that they, the distributors, sell to a Small, Independently Owned and Operated bottle shop and or restaurant as opposed to chain stores or restaurants. Currently we have relationships with the following distributors/wholesalers in the following states:
Arizona- Quench Fine Wines & Spirits
California- Garber & Co
Colorado- Classic Wines
Connecticut- Martin Scott Wines
District of Columbia (Virginia, Maryland, D.C.) Siema Wines
Georgia- Prime Wine and Spirits
Illinois- Maverick Wine Company
Michigan- Veritas
Nevada- Vin Savage
New Mexico- Fiasco Fine Wines, Spirits & Beer
New York- Martin Scott Wines
New Jersey- Martin Scott Wines
South Carolina- Siema Wines
Oregon- Oregon Wine Sales
Texas- Pioneer Wine Company
Washington State- Cavatappi Distribuzione
Our website has a Store Locator feature under CONTACT that we try our best to keep updated, but of course we’re a small company and sometimes we’re not always on top of things.
Also, we are in the process of seeking distribution in a few more states, including Ohio, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Florida. If you have a favorite small independent bottle shop or restaurant that focuses on hand crafted, artisan, small production wines from a family owned and operated winery, then urge them to contact the distributor listed above. If you’re in a state not listed above, figure out who your local hands on wine distributor is, and urge them to look into our wines, Caduceus Cellars & Merkin Vineyards. (To clear up any confusion, we are no longer associated with Arizona Stronghold.)
International Distribution:
Currently our level of production doesn’t support International Distribution except in a few specific territories/states in a couple select countries.
Alberta, Canada- Crimson Imports
And
NSW, Australia- MI Wines in Sydney
We hope that helps with any questions you may have. We are extremely grateful for your interest in our efforts here in Arizona. It’s been a long and difficult journey to get where we are now. And the journey isn’t over. So again, we thank you for your overwhelming support.
