Had a day off on the West coast between Oakland and BakersHole. Perfect opportunity to stop in on my sourced fruit. Most of it is scattered around the Paso Robles area. Everything seems to be right on schedule. Which is unfortunate for me, since my touring break will be in Oct, not Sept. So I may miss most of crush this year. We decided to get some Cab from this area as well, rather than making the haul all the way to Pope Valley. Far more convenient. Besides, these blends are just an exercise until I have my own Arizona fruit. I’ve been asked on several occasions why I haven’t submitted my wines for review.
