Eric, Bill and I tasted a samle from each barrel of the Ranchita Sangivese and Ranchita Cabernet. Very educational. Each barrel tasted different depending on its age, whether it’s French or American oak, if it was free run juice or pressed wine, etc… Overall, I’d say we’re very happy with the quality of this juice. Most likely this will all end up in the 2005 NAGA. The raspberry nose isn’t quite as obvious as it was when we first pressed, but it’s there. We’re going to revisit this tentative blend in a warmer space. The cold cellar experience can be deceiving.
