In come the 2005 reds. Very exciting. Our first day of processing started with Eric’s Rio San Lucas Pinot. This was Chris’s and my dads first time de-stemming. Their cherries are officially broken. The fruit was tasty, but full of leaves and what not. Everything went smoothly. Pretty much business as usual. What made it more fun than usual was listening to Eric’s call from the road. The huge truck we rented has a “governor,” no tunes, and the cruise control wasn’t responding to Eric’s pleas. Fun for us as the audience. However, not fun for Eric.
